COMMON QUESTIONS

Answers for those who are new to the cannabis community

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD & THC?

CBD and THC have the same chemical formula but have different chemical properties that affect the body differently. THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana. It's what makes people feel "high." THC binds with receptors that control pain, mood, and other feelings which may make you feel euphoric. CBD on the other hand binds to different receptors and therefore doesn't get you high or alter your state of being. It works on the nervous system and overall well being. Both CBD and THC work with receptors that release neurotransmitters in your brain. They can affect things like pain, mood, sleep, and memory.

HOW MUCH CBD IS IN YOUR PRODUCT?

The amount of CBD in our products vary depending on the product in question. We have full spectrum CBD prodcuts with 80% potency, or various ratios of CBD/THC blends. These ratios include 30:1, 20:1, 18:1, 4:1, 2:1, and 1:1.

HOW MUCH THC IS IN YOUR PRODUCT?

The cannabis industry's technological advancements have paved way for stronger flower than ever before. While we do carry flowers with 30% potency or higher, these products are recommended for experienced patients. If the body has too much THC, then it will be more likely to have uncomfortable symptoms such as increased heart rate, racing thoughts, or sweaty palms. Therefore, while we do carry a wide assortment of THC products, we recommend starting with low THC concentration and then working your way up depending on need.

DO THE PRODUCTS USE FULL-SPECTRUM OR DISTILLATE?

We carry the highest quality full-spectrum products. Unlike distillate, which is overproccessed oil, a full-spectrum CBD product undergoes less processing than isolates. Manufacturers use dried hemp plant matter to extract cannabinoids. Usually, a method called supercritical CO2 extraction is used to draw out these plant compounds. The result is a full-spectrum CBD oil that contains all the cannabinoids that hemp has to offer. Some users prefer full-spectrum products because they can trigger the entourage effect. With multiple cannabinoids and terpenes working together, the results and benefits experienced may be greater than the results of a CBD isolate. Terpenes are believed to play a significant role in the entourage effect – perhaps even more so than cannabinoids!
